How come did Rahul Gandhi or the other Congress leaders not go through the history? Why did they roll over the sentiments of people? It is nothing but the naive acts of the Congress-men that gradually forced people to lose faith in the then ‘nationalist’ INC and term it as an ‘Italian’ puppet now. It is now time for the Congress to bury the wicked tricks against BJP, and make its chain stable, with one of its weakest link, Rahul Gandhi!

Prior to the Citizenship Amendment Bill got passed into the parliament, the BJP led government in its term of almost 6 years now has strived hard to make India a better place for Muslim women, businessmen, youngsters and lately Kashmiris. BJP’s crawl towards nationalism has gradually led them eliminate Triple talaq, introduce GST, Start-up plans and abrogate Article 370 that gave a special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The oppositions led by the Congress left no stones unturned to oppose each of the above mentioned but they certainly moved up creating a major chaos during the Article 370 passage. Congress’s Rahul Gandhi in his irresponsible remarks over the Kashmir issue had stirred unwanted controversy, giving Pakistan a chance to use it against India.
“National integration isn’t furthered by unilaterally tearing apart J&K, imprisoning elected representatives and violating our Constitution. This nation is made by its people, not plots of land”, he had said accusing the BJP govt of abusing the executive power, further graving implications for our national security. The absence of adequacy made Congress’s heart grow fonder to oppose the Article 370.
There was a difference of opinion in the party on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Many Congress leaders were of the opinion that the party should not have gone against the sentiment of people, while other leaders were of the view that the party should not have changed its stance. It is understood that the Congress party actually played a political gimmick by hurting the sentiments of the people.
Back in India in year 1964 when Pt Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister, there was a unanimous demand for Kashmir’s full integration with India and a firm declaration by Government about the irrevocability of the State’s accession was made. The Lok Sabha during an inconclusive discussion on a private member’s bill patently seeked to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution.
In an Hindustan Time’s news article dated September 12, 1964 it is clear that the MPs, who belonged to the then ‘nationalist’ party INC, openly demanded to end the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Now neither the party works on the nationalist front, nor the leaders here are like K Hanumanthaiya or leader in the Arya Samaj movement, Prakash Vir Shastri.
Prakash Vir Shastri’s Bill for the said purpose, found an unexpected support from Congress members of the opposition, pleaded that the time had come to end the uncertainty about the Kashmir’s future. One way to do so was to scrap Article 370 which had outlives its utility. In fact, K Hanumanthaiya of Congress had appealed to the then Home Minister to accept the bill in the spirit of democracy. The demand for deletion of Article 370 having come from all sections of the House, the government could not deny the fact of need for abrogation, even then.
The question here to raise is, how come did not Rahul Gandhi or the other Congress leaders go through the history? Why did they roll over the sentiments of people? It is nothing but the naive acts of the Congressmen that gradually forced people to lose faith in the then ‘nationalist’ Congress and call it an ‘Italian’ puppet. The Jammu and Kashmir (Reorganisation) Bill, 2019 strips Jammu and Kashmir’s status of a state and converts it into a Union Territory with legislature and carving out Ladakh region as a UT without legislature.
It was passed in a division pressed by the opposition with 125 votes in favour and 61 against, and an NCP member abstained. It is now time for the Congress to bury the wicked tricks against BJP, and make its chain stable, with one of its weakest link, Rahul Gandhi!
